Uasin Gishu Council of Imams and Muslim Preachers of Kenya (CIPK) chairman Sheikh Abubakar Bini has hailed President Uhuru Kenyatta for reshuffling his cabinet.
Bini said the reshuffle was overdue and could have been done earlier since things were not going right.
“As religious leaders from Uasin Gishu County, we want to thank President Uhuru Kenyatta for reshuffling his cabinet since most of the cabinet secretaries were sleeping on their jobs,” he said.
Speaking in Eldoret town on Tuesday, Bini however, warned politicians against politicizing the reshuffle noting that it was done in good faith and for the betterment of Kenyans.
“Politicians should not politicize the reshuffle since the president has the mandate to hire and fire his Cabinet Secretaries and he did the right thing by sacking and transferring those sleeping on their job and replacing them with competent ones,” noted the CIPK chairman.
The reshuffle, the Muslim clergy said, will ensure that President Uhuru Kenyatta's Big Four Agenda is realized as he will be having competent people to drive his agenda.
Bini also called on those Cabinet Secretaries who have been given the mandate to serve Kenyans to work hard in bettering Kenyans lives and not stealing public funds for their good.
