Last week, Education Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed released the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) results at Star of the Sea primary school in Mombasa County. The selection process for joining secondary schools is underway and here are schools in Mombasa that parents should ensure their children join.

Light Academy performs well in national examinations. In the 2017 KCSE results, they were among the best. The institution emerged top in Mombasa County and second nationally. They managed to get 69.1 points.
2. Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan
Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan is another institution that ensures Mombasa shines in academic cycles. Last year, the school had 59.0 points in the national examination and was ranked position 49 nationally.
