Moi High School Kabarak in Nakuru is among schools that have performed extremely well in this year’s Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
Following the release of the results on Wednesday, students, parents and teachers danced and sang songs of praise after producing the sixth top candidate nationwide.
Ezra Kizito Sikute who emerged number one at the institution and sixth nationwide managed to score an A plain of 86 points.
Other students from the institution that managed to get an A include Njuguna Samuel Mbugua, Keith Kirsti and Ian Mwangi.
Speaking to the media, the school's principal Elishebah Cheruiyot thanked God for the school’s performance and attributed the success to hard work.
“We thank God as this is as a result of not only hard work but prayers too,” said Cheruiyot..
Langalanga Secondary School, a day school in Nakuru Town performed well and produced eight candidates who had A minus.
“Last year we had a Plain A and five A minus and this year we have many A minus and this is a good improvement,” said the school Principal Rufina Mutegi.
Nakuru Boys High School also posted good results with six candidates scoring A while Nakuru Girls also had their top six candidates scoring A.
Other schools that performed well in the national exams include Utumishi Academy in Gigil which had 8 candidates get A minus and Elburgon Day Secondary School in Molo sub-county also saw their top candidate score an A minus of 79 point
