Television host Tony Gachoka has yet again taken a swipe at close allies of Deputy President William Ruto, accusing them of having personal interests.
For months now, a group of MPs allied to Ruto has been moving around the country, often hitting at former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
But Gachoka, a fierce critic of Ruto, now says the group is keen to swindle money from the DP, who is known to be extremely generous.
"William Ruto’s Cabinet speaks; as I look at the Tanga Tanga characters here one thing is clear ‘money guys’ need to come up with projects for hand outs but it’s a pity of a sight of a crest fallen lot! " he said.
Dr. Ruto's allies met on Tuesday where they vowed to make physical appearance in the ongoing BBI meeting, arguing that their presence will be important.
“To this end we demand that the entire BBI process be driven in an open and transparent manner by the gazetted committee,” he said.
He further reiterated DP William Ruto’s sentiments that public funds should not be used to organize BBI rallies unless appropriated by parliament or county assemblies.
“Our participation & organization of BBI rallies shall be through personal."
