Renowned city lawyer and socio-political commentator Donald Kipkorir has launched a scathing attack on Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa and former Kakamega Senator Dr Boni Khalwale for always tagging Deputy President Dr William Ruto in the social media posts.

In a tweet on Friday, the flamboyant lawyer poured scorn on the two DP Ruto-backing politicians, describing their social media habits as a hopeless way to live life.

Kipkorir noted that what the two were doing was not being done by any other politicians, appearing to suggest that they were being ludicrously sycophantic.

"Have never seen cheapskate politicians as Didmus Barasa & Boni Khalwale .... They have to tag the DP everytime they tweet ... No other politician in Kenya do what they do ... Can’t they agree on a weekly or monthly retainer instead of the tagging? What a hopeless life to live," he tweeted.

Khalwale and Barasa are strong supporters of the DP and have vowed to publicly campaign for him as he seeks the presidency in 2022.

The former Ikolomani MP joined the governing Jubilee Party a few months ago after falling out with veteran opposition and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga.

Before joining Jubilee, he was a member of the Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula-led Ford Kenya party.
