A celebrated Orange Democratic Movement party blogger has for the first time broken silence over police arrest on Saturday evening.
Ms Olivia Moraira alias Kabz Nyar Kisii spent close to six hours at DCI headquarters along Kiambu Road before being released.
Throughout social media, news about her latest detention spread like bushfire with fellow bloggers calling for unconditional release from police custody.
In a phone interview, she said: "It was just a small matter which I am going to handle. I was arrested but later released. I did not record any statement because I asked time to come with my lawyers."
The Gusii based blogger, a former critic of President Uhuru Kenyatta, was arrested twice before 2017 polls and charged with defamation.
But since the March 9th handshake between Raila Odinga and Uhuru Kenyatta, Ms Moraira has shifted her guns towards Deputy President William Ruto.
On Saturday, she broke news about her 6pm arrest on Facebook in a short statement where she said 'I need a lawyer'.
Youthful attorney Nelson Havi has been representing her since 2017 with ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna giving pro bono as well.
