They say African men never cry in public but it seems the tradition beat Governor John Nyagarama hands down.
As the chopper carrying remains of former Economic Planning minister Henry Obwocha landed in Nyamira primary on Thursday, an emotionally overwhelmed Nyagarama could not hide his disappointment with the death.
He moved closer to the chopper and tears rolled down his chicks like a little baby.
"I have lost a personal friend and I cannot say much more. It is a personal loss.
"As a nation, we have lost a true patriot who always stood with people," said Nyagarama.
Also present during the event were Vincent Kemosi (West Mugirango), Ben Momanyi (Borabu) and senator Okong'o Mogeni.
Until his death, Obwocha was the chairman of Privatisation Commission a position he took in 2015.
President Uhuru Kenyatta termed him a great leader thus releasing a chopper which trafficked his remains.
