Rarieda Member of Parliament Otiende Amollo is currently in Tanzania after attending the fifth Statutory Meeting of the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (ICGL).
The meeting which brought together representatives from the 12 member countries was held in Arusha on Friday.
One of its themes was to draft the resolutions on participatory and representative democracy among the involved countries.
"It was a pleasure to attend the 5th statutory meeting of the forum of parliaments of the ICGLR at Arusha and to lead the drafting of the resolutions on participatory and representative democracy within the 12 member states," he tweeted.
Amollo also paid a courtesy call on Arusha Mayor Lord Mayor Kalisti Bukhay.
The two leaders discussed among others, the Grand Arusha Water Project which seeks to secure water for the city for the next decade.
"Paid a courtesy call on His Worship the Mayor of Arusha, Lord Mayor Kalisti Bukhay. We discussed matters of interest including the financing of the World Bank of the Grand Arusha Water Project which intends to secure water for the city for the next decade," he added in a separate tweet.
Members of the ICGLR include Tanzania, Angola, Burundi, Central Africa Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Congo Brazzaville, Rwanda, and Southern Sudan.
Others are Sudan, Uganda and Zambia.
