In a tweet on Tuesday afternoon, Kura shared a phone number and an email address through which people with such information can contact them.

The State agency revealed that anyone who volunteers the information will receive a handsome cash reward of Sh100,000.

"We are seeking information on road vandalism especially on street lights & guard rails. Any Person with such reliable information that may lead to arrest will be rewarded Sh100,000. Please report via our Hotline 0202722222 or email us info@kura.go.ke," tweeted Kura.

This comes after various streets lights and guards rails on different roads in the country have been reported stolen or vandalised.

Kura, which is responsible for maintaining roads has now tasked all Kenyans with the responsibility of taking care of the public resources to avoid losses which run into millions of shillings annually.

In May, this year, a street lighting project initiated by Thika Town MP Patrick Wainaina in Thika Town was dealt a major blow after unknown people stole close to 20 street lamps estimated to cost between Sh20,000 - Sh30,000 in one weekend.
