One of the affected students, Yonah Kiboi told the press in Eldoret town on Wednesday that they supposed to start examination on Monday this week but it came to their surprise that the institution had not paid for their exams.

“We have tried to talk to our principal about this issue but he says he has a lawyer and we will take him nowhere,” said Kiboi.

He noted that their parents and guardians have also talked to the principal who has told them that the institution had some exams irregularities in last years' exams hence the reason for the students not being registered.

“He is a person who doesn’t say the truth. We are 21 candidates who are supposed to sit for our exams in Information Science and Adult Education courses and as I am talking none has done yet we paid for it,” noted Kiboi.

The students have already recorded a statement with the Eldoret police station and have expressed hope that the principal will be arrested and prosecuted.

Efforts to get a comment from the institutions' principal over the issue were futile as he declined to speak to the media.
