Garissa-born lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi now says that he has nothing personal against Chief Justice (CJ) David Maraga and the Judiciary.
Abdullahi, who has in the recent past attacked the Judiciary, says his criticism against the institution is based on real issues and is not personal as some people are interpreting it.
The lawyer says that Judiciary must put its act in order and dispense justice without favour or bias.
“I have nothing personal against Chief Justice Maraga or the Judiciary and I only speak about what I encounter in the corridors of justice," the lawyer told journalists on Monday.
Last week, the renowned lawyer hit out at CJ Maraga alleging massive graft in the Judiciary.
The lawyer claimed that since he started practicing, he has never encountered a corrupt, bias and inept Judiciary as it is under CJ Maraga.
“I was admitted to the Bar in 1993 by CJ Hancox and practiced before CJs Cockar, Chesoni, Apaloo, Chunga, Gicheru, Willy and now Maraga. I have never practiced before a more inept, corrupt, tribal and politically compromised Judiciary as is the Judiciary now under CJ Maraga,” Abdullahi tweeted recently.
In September the flamboyant lawyer also launched an attack on the CJ accusing the Supreme Court president of allegedly delaying rulings on gubernatorial petitions before it.
Lawyer Abdullahi is never afraid of speaking his mind and has represented top individuals and politicians in court cases.
