There was drama at Masosa village after a woman who had abandoned her husband for two years resurfaced on Thursday when information reached her that her husband has married a second wife.
Villagers said Martha Kerubo fled from her matrimonial home in January 2016 on grounds that her husband, Robert Nyabwari was poor and he could not provide for her and their 3 kids.
"She heard that Nyabwari married a second wife to take care of the children and resurfaced claiming she will not allow another woman to take care of her kids," said Protus Kebengi.
Nyabwari said Kerubo abandoned him after youth group auctioned the family property over delayed loan payment.
"I tried to persuade her return home in vain. I married a second wife to live with me," he said.
Elders led by Simon Manyara said if Kerubo can't accept to live with a co-wife she should look for another man.
"Kerubo must accept Nyabwari's second wife failure to which she will have to look for another man to marry her," said Manyara.
