Bomet first governor has thrown his weight on the Building Bridges Initiative. While speaking at TAACH FM on Monday, the CCM party leader said that most of what was captured in the BBI is what he's been advocating for through his CCM party.
"I'm fully behind the BBI since most of its proposals is what I have been advocating since we suggested that the cabinet secretaries should be appointed from Parliament to ensure accountability," he said.
He encouraged people from his backyard to continue to support the BBI and even forward their proposals to the committee. He added that the initiative doesn't belong to anyone but all Kenyans.
"This BBI doesn't belong to neither Raila, Uhuru nor William Ruto. It belongs to the people and the people shouldn't be divided into tribal lines, we were all created by God in his image so no one is more superior than the other," said Isaac Ruto.
The two-term council of Governors chairperson further asked Kenyans not to be bothered about what is not in the report, he said that the report is raw and is prone to a lot of changes before it gets to a bill.
