Opposition activist Miguna Miguna has once again fired shots at opposition leader and former ally and boss Raila Odinga.
In a tweet on Wednesday, Miguna took issue with Odinga over his bluntness and hesitation to raise real national issues with the government now that he is close to President Uhuru Kenyatta, who was his main political antagonist earlier.
He also took issue with Raila’s ongoing tour in India which saw him hold talks with Indian Prime Minister Nahendra Modi on Tuesday, bashing him for smiling for pictures rather than using the forum to address Kenyans’ shortcomings.
According to Miguna, Kenyans expect Raila to use his newfound powers to address the issue of election rigging tradition and not for self-enjoyment.
‘’Any coward can dress in a suit and smile as he takes photos standing next to foreign or local functionaries. That's not what Kenyans sacrificed their lives for after Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto stole elections on August 8, 2017. We will struggle until we get electoral justice.,’’ said Miguna.
Miguna who spearheaded Odinga’s January 30 mock presidential coronation has since broken the relationship, accusing the veteran politician of betrayal following his March 9 reconciliation with Kenyatta.
Odinga, on his side, says that the nation badly needed the same for peace and stability.
