Renowned Kikuyu pastor and marriage counselor Susan Munene has come out to set the record straight about her 'twa twa' comments that went viral and inspired scores of memes online.
Speaking on Thursday in an exclusive interview on Gukena FM, a vernacular radio station, Susan denied claims that she was encouraging sexual immorality.
She said the viral comments were made in the context of a couples' seminar, and were meant for married men and women.
"These things that we are talking about are not meant for children, they are not meant for teenagers, they are not meant for unmarried youths. These things that we are talking about should be confided between a husband and a wife. (Deto ici turaaria ti cia ciana, ti cia mundu wothe wetagwo teenagerm, ti cia mwana youth. Deto ici turaaria ciagereiro gukorwa confided gatigate ka muthuri na mutumia)," she said.
Pastor Susan came under blistering criticism from a section of social media users who accused her of encouraging sexual immorality.
In the interview on Gukena FM, she said she had developed a passion of talking to married couples in a bid to save marriages.
According to her, the reason why marriages are failing and divorces appear to be rampant is because couples are not taking their conjugal responsibilities seriously as they should.
