Dr Ruto has been traversing the country, donating millions churches and schools, a move that has often irked the opposition team under Raila Odinga.

The group, in a press conference on Sunday, accused Dr Ruto of ignoring his own backyard and instead concentrating on Mt Kenya region.

According to them, Ruto should consider giving out the donations before the October 1st deadline by Central Bank of Kenya on the old Sh1000 notes.

"Are there no churches to be visited in Rift Valley? When shall we get our share now that October 1st is fast approaching? We also have schools, churches to be constructed and needy children to be sponsored.

"It's now evident that Central Kenya Churches are getting more than enough thus the violence we are witnessing. Tupee share yetu kabla CBK ifunge hiyo Mlango," said one of their spokesman.

Dr Ruto has often accused the opposition of allegedly plotting to curtail contributions to churches through a bill that is being prepared by John Mbadi.

In the controversial bill, Mbadi wants to cap maximum donations to social events by politicians at Sh100,000, a move that has been subjected to resistance from DP William Ruto.

"Some of us grew up in church and we know why we give back. Those who believe in witchcraft can go on and pay witchdoctors," he once told off Mr Odinga.

In the past few weeks, chaos have been witnessed in Central Kenya Churches, with the most recent taking place at Gitui Catholic Church where MP Ndindi Nyoro was accused of plotting against Kieleweke team.
