Reports on Standard indicate that Club Brugge had reportedly offered up £13.6million for Wanyama.

In terms of weekly earnings, the Harambee Stars captain is expected to take home Sh8.2 million per week, making him highest paid player in the team.

Meanwhile, the club's manager Philippe Clement has noted that he is interested in Wanyama because of his skills and capabilities.

“[Wanyama] is a boy whose qualities we know well and the mentality,” Clement said as quoted by Standard.

He, however, said the club is likely to consider other options in the market should they fail to secure Wanyama.

“But we don’t put all our eggs in one basket. For the rest, we remain alert on the transfer market," he said.

Reports on the Sun, however, claim that the midfielder will only join Club Brugge if they qualify for the UEFA Champions League group stages.
