Carrying heavy objects

Carrying different objects is part of our daily activities but carrying very heavy objects poses risks to pregnant women. Expectant women are discouraged from lifting heavy objects as this can cause problems in your back and your pelvic area.

Smoking and alcohol consumption

Smoking and taking alcohol are very dangerous when one is pregnant. They can make you experience a miscarriage, give birth to an abnormal child or the baby can have poor growth while in the womb.

Getting in a hot tub

Getting in a hot tub can make you feel relaxed and it is also fun. However, this is not recommended during pregnancy. Getting in a hot tub while pregnant can expose you to certain ailments especially if the water is dirty. Also, hot tubs tend to raise your body temperature which can result in congenital abnormalities.

Some hard exercises

Excising is good while pregnant because it makes you have a healthy heart. It is also good for your brain and lowers your blood pressure. However, there are some exercises you should not participate in while pregnant. Such exercises include heavyweight training and cycling. You should only do some simple exercises like taking a walk.
