Senate Majority leader Kipchumba Murkomen has landed in trouble following a comment made through his twitter handle.
Murkomen will be leading a legal team that battling the appeal of Malindi Mp Aisha Jumwa and Msambweni Mo Suleiman Dori expulsion from ODM party.
He said that he was quite aware of ODM being sacred of his appearance on behalf of his clients.
He went ahead to say that the rights of his client to be represented by any counsel was a mandatory requirement.
Speaking to KTN news on Wednesday evening, Murkomen disclosed that Suleiman Dori and Aisha Jumwa settled on him following his credentials and felt that they needed an advocate of his stature.
"I can understand why ODM are scared of my appearance on behalf of my clients before their National Governing Council. Unfortunately, the right of my clients to be represented by a counsel of their choice is a mandatory requirement of Kenyan Constitution which I swore to defend," he tweeted.
The tweet didn't go well with fellow netizens who bashed him saying that he had no past record of winning legal cases.
A number of Kenyans termed it as being a big joke. Others opined that he would only face legal interns but not notable senior counsels.
