Simba Arati endured a torrid moment on various social media forums for the better part of this weekend over his remarks directed to Deputy President William Ruto.
At a fundraiser on Friday in Nairobi in aide for Shabana FC, Arati suggestively termed Ruto a thief, remarks which did not go well with Ruto supporters.
"It's primitive to call a leader thief yet you cannot justify it. It's hypocrisy and Arati should style up. We are keenly watching his conduct," said Dennis Mokua.
James Mong'are said: "If you say Ruto is a thief, come out open and table evidence. Those peddling pedestrian lies like Arati will one day pay for such acts."
The online battle went on for the better part of Sunday but the self proclaimed Gusii spokesperson is yet to give any rejoinder.
Both Ruto and Arati graced the occasion and pledged to always support the National Super League side which bagged victory at Afraha Stadium on Saturday against St Joseph.
Mr Arati is one of fierce critics of the DP and has often scolded him in public rallies whenever he gets an opportunity.
