Youths have been urged to participate in the Nairobi International Trade Fair (NITF) to network for more opportunities.
Through a press release sent to media houses, Nairobi CEC for Trade Allan Igambi said youths should learn new strategies in the use of technology and innovation.
"This gives an opportunity to rate ourselves against the world leaders. More importantly, our youth get new opportunities and platform to show what they have in store," Igambi said.
The CEC further assured investors that the capital city remains safe for investment.
"Our mandate is to provide an enabling environment and Nairobi has continued to rise as the safest place for potential investors," Igambi added.
The CEC further said that NITF provides a platform for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) to participate in global trade through provision of opportunities for forward and backward market linkages with both local and international exhibitors.
The County's Commerce, Tourism, and Cooperative sector has sponsored 40 micro and small traders with more than 20 diversified Kenyan made products, compared to last year where there were only 10 types of products.
He reiterated that some of the innovative products sponsored by the county include weaving using the loom, food warmers, peanut butter processors, knitting equipment, leather products and glass cuts.
