Speaking in Rangwe, Homa Bay County, the legislator thanked the two leaders for putting their differences aside and deciding to work for the good of the country.

The former Kenya Broadcast Corporation (KBC) reporter said that through their dramatic handshake in 2018 after a period of heightened political tensions, the country had been save from the carnage of political instability.

She said that the handshake had helped make it possible for politicians from different political parties to move freely in the country.

"Mr President and the right honourable Raila Odinga, you might not know what you have done for us as a country. You have opened for us doors so that we can go to any part of this country regardless of our political parties," the Samburu legislator said.

The governing Jubilee party legislator assured the residents of Rangwe that she would continue to rally behind the handshake and called on them not to relent in its support.

She added that the coming together of Uhuru and Raila would help expedite development and unite the people of Kenya going forward.
