At a memorial service in Moi Girls Kibra, Governor Mike Sonko opened the Pandora box when he confessed to thousands of mourners that Mr Okoth had another secret lover, Ms Anita Muthoni.

The family recognizes Monica Okoth, the lady who Ken met and married in Austria while in university. She had received praises for standing in solidarity with MP while he was battling cancer.

And South Mugirango MP Sylvanus Osoro, becomes another high profile leader to confirm the relationship between Okoth and Muthoni, a nominated MCA in Nairobi County.

In a Facebook post, Mr Osoro, a first term youthful MP, said he was aware of relationship between the two, adding that they had been blessed with a son.

"Hon Ken Okoth was my friend, Hon. Ann Nthumbi,MCA is my very close friend,I know the truth and so does Hon.Sakaja.We agree with H.E Gov. Sonko. Ann and Ken had a child together," wrote Osoro.

Governor Sonko had claimed that Okoth first knew Ms Muthoni when she worked with Sonko rescue team as a nurse. It's Ken who asked Sonko to nominate her to assembly.

“The two love birds did not hide the fact that they shared a son. Unfortunately, today, Anita was stopped at the Lee Funeral Home as she took their son to pay last respect to his father. Who does that?” he posed.

Senior Principal Magistrate Grace Mmasi issued the injunction pending the hearing and determination of the application, a move that could delay the planned cremation.

“It is hereby ordered that in the interim a temporary injunction be and is hereby issued restraining the 1st (Angelina Okoth) and 2nd (Monica Okoth) defendants, either by themselves, their servants or agents, from conducting the burial, interment, cremation and or in any matter whatsoever dispose of the body…” the order seen by Standard Digital read in part.

Opposition leader Raila Odinga said he will ensure the row is solved before Saturday's planned funeral service at Kabondo Kasipul, where Ken's mother Angelina was born.
