75 Machakos revenue collectors were suspended from their jobs Thursday 15, without any notice.
During an interview with a local radio, one employee said that they have worked with Machakos county government since 2013. He said that it seems that their services were stopped to pave way for new employees.
The new employees are said to be so new that they do not even know where the county government offices are.
“Some are asking us where the county government offices are and do not have letters,” said one employee.
The employees said that suspended via a phone call and that they have worked without salaries for 3 months. They said that the county government has mistreated them.
According to the Director Mr Musembi, all the employees should have a letter from Public Service Board.
