President Uhuru Kenyatta and Barbados Prime Minister, Mia Amor Mottley, had talks on Wednesday at State House in Nairobi.
During the talks, Mia Amor called on Kenyan investors to move to her country and do business there.
This message has been taken seriously by the Kenyan government, who, through a tweet on Thursday, noted that they will be sending financial representatives to map Barbados.
''Kenyan financial sector representatives will visit Barbados in the next two weeks to explore business opportunities in the Caribbean. The visit is part of agreements reached after discussions between President Kenyatta and Prime Minister @miaamormottley of Barbados,'' said State House.
According to President Uhuru Kenyatta, this move will help the ties between the two countries. More so, Kenya will use Barbados as a ''hub to trade in the wider Caribbean Community (CARICOM) region.''
The two leaders agreed on various things during their Wednesday meeting. Two agreements, MOU on health and avoidance of double taxation were signed.
Uhuru has noted that the two countries will form close ties in terms of banking and finance, health and education, ICT, and renewable energy.
Uhuru's meeting with other heads of states is meant to put the country at a strategic position in making sure our economic developments improve.
The head of state, who is on his second and last term in office, vowed to leave the country a better place then he found it.
