Barbados Prime Minister Amor Mottley was on Wednesday welcomed to Kenya's State House in style, her first trip to Kenya.
Mrs Amor's trip comes three months after President Uhuru Kenyatta's visit to Caribbean countries where he visited Barbados and Jamaica.
In solidarity, Mrs Amor paid Uhuru a courtesy call on Wednesday, where she was given a 19-gun salute by the Kenya Defense Forces.

KDF usually gives only a sitting head of state and governments a 21-gun salute. Those only in charge of government are given a 19-gun salute.
Barbados, a tiny nation in the Caribbean and it is still under the United Kingdom's monarchial rule with Her Majesty the Queen serving as Head of State.
Mrs Amor is expected to hold bilateral talks with Uhuru before she would later be received for a State House dinner by First Lady Margaret Kenyatta.
Present in State House were Chief of Defense Forces General Samson Mwathethe, Kenya Army Commander Lt Gen Walter Raria, Air Force Commander Francis Ogolla and Navy boss Levy Mghalu.
