Popular Kenyan boy band Ethic Entertainment have on Friday released their much-awaited song dubbed 'Chapa Chapa'.
The song which premiered on YouTube Friday at around 12:00 noon enjoyed overwhelming reception as it gained more than 35,000 views within 2 hours.
Ethic who had been rumored to have split up have brought their energy on this song and it goes without saying that it will definitely be the song that every DJ will now be playing.
Earlier, Reckless who is considered as Ethic's chorus-man was alleged to have left the band. This is after he was left out of the collabo that Ethic was featured by Otile Brown.
Shortly after that he went ahead to release a solo project and was, later on, spotted working on another song with Khaligraph. The new song is nonetheless an assurance that Ethic Entertainment is still strong and they are in the music industry to stay.
Ethic had been slightly criticized for changing their style of music in their last song featuring Otile Brown. They have nevertheless gone back to their original style which they are most identified with.
The song 'Chapa Chapa' is basically a club song with no direct message attached to it.
This year saw the rise of Kenyan boy bands who have a unique style of music. Many have credited such bands like Ochunglo family, Sailors Gang, Boondocks Gand and Ethic for giving Kenyan music an identity.
