South Mugirango MP Silvanus Osoro has spoken out over the increased number of mysterious murders witnessed in the constituency.
Addressing journalists on Sunday, Osoro expressed concerns over the increased cases of crime in the area, where residents are killed mysteriously by unknown people.
The outspoken MP accused police officers in the area of laxity after a middle-aged man was found murdered at Boigo village, Etago Sub-County.
The body of Nyabuto Moraro which had several cuts was found on Sunday morning.
"Our people have been massacred. In the last month, five of them have lost their lives. Others raping an elderly mother aged 87, causing her death. Cases of insecurity are on the rise in Etago Sub-County and I'm calling upon the security officers to take action," Osoro said.
"Instead of arresting bodaboda operators and other young men trying to earn a living, apprehend the goons. The security agencies should work and ensure security in our areas and at the borders," he added.
Investigations into the murder of Moraro have since been launched by police officers in the constituency.
