Suna East Member of Parliament Junet Mohamed has told Kimilili Member of Parliament Didmus Barasa that he can as well forget his trademark burgundy cap.
Speaking during a thanksgiving rally at the DC Grounds in Kibra Constituency on Sunday, the outspoken Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party legislator said that he had found the cap during a stroll in the constituency.
He told the cheering crowd that the owner of the cap had been found trying to compromise voters.
"This is my property now (Hii mali imesahifishwa, hii ni yangu sasa... Hii nimeenda nayo), "the Suna East MP said.
A video showing Kimilili member of parliament being roughed up by goons allegedly acting on the orders from Dagoreti North MP Simba Arati went viral on social media prompting several leaders from the ruling Jubilee party to criticize the incident, pointing fingers at Arati.
The Dagoreti North lawmaker has however, denied the allegations, saying that were it not for him it would the situation could have been worse.
The incident has seen the Deputy President Dr William Ruto fire salvo after salvo at ODM and its leader Raila Odinga over the violence and called for the party and its leader to issue an apology.
ODM has dismissed the call for an apology and said it has nothing to apologize for.
The party has accused the DP of being bitter about losing the Kibra by-election after his candidate McDonald Mariga was trounced.
