Celebrated Kenyan artist Otile Brown also known as Bad Man Shivo has bought a car for fellow musician Juliet Miriam Ayub, popularly known by her stage name Jovial.
In a post on his Instagram page, Otile, posted a picture of Jovial with the new car he bought for her.
“Mtoto mkali na anaimba ajabu. I bless you with this small moti to help carry you around. They aren’t ready for you. And by the way @jovialmusic_ is Kenyan, born and raised in Mombasa. Let’s support her,” he posted.
Jovial, who was born and raised in Mombasa, has released various songs, and worked with a number of top musicians in the country including; Juacali, Arrow Boy, and Amz Jadidi.
Last month, she collaborated with Otile Brown, and released “Zichune.”
In an interview with Nation, she noted that her mother influenced her into joining the music industry, adding that her genre of focus is Afro Fusion and R&B.
"My earliest musical influence was my mother. I used to admire her when she was singing in church choir, and this is how she inspired me to start singing.
"My style of music is Afro Fusion with a twist of Zouk and R&B. I love singing in Swahili language as I feel comfortable and this way I can express myself well to, and I also believe it defines my true identity as a Kenyan," she said.
