Opposition's Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Director of Communications Philip Etale has bashed President Uhuru Kenyatta over his unending rants.
Uhuru has lately been complaining about some of Cabinet Secretaries abandoning their work to engage in politics, and has repeatedly threatened to sack them.
But Etale now claims that Uhuru runs a government where his employees have no respect for him, hence their unwillingness to heed his directives.
In a tweet Monday, the close ally of opposition leader and ODM party leader Raila Odinga urged the President to wake up and realize his threats to deal with the group.
He termed it unnecessary for the president to take his complains to powerless citizens yet he is the one with the power to bring the cabinet back on track.
"The President has a government that has people who have no respect for him, including a section of Cabinet Secretaries... he needs to crack the whip instead of shouting on the microphone to helpless wananchi. Act now Sir," he said.
Speaking in Kitengela late last week, Uhuru said that he is ready to replace the CSs who have failed to back his agenda as 'there are many other people who can hold the positions in the country'.
"During today's Cabinet meeting, I reminded our CSs that there are many young Kenyans who are willing and ready to work if they felt they are not up to the task,” Uhuru was quoted by the Nation.
Uhuru who was headed to Arusha, Tanzania was addressing a crowd during a stopover in Kitengela, Kajiado.
