Nyamira County Governor John Nyagarama is on the receiving end over sluggish development in the county.
North Mugirango Member of Parliament Joash Nyamoko while addressing a congregation at Magwagwa Catholic Church on Sunday accused Nyagarama of overseeing a county that has lagged behind in matters development.
"Nyagarama has done too little for the benefit of our people. What we are seeing in the county leadership is the opposite of what Nyagarama promised people during the campaigns in 2017," the lawmaker stated.
The vocal legislator claimed that feeder roads that are required to be upgraded by the county government are impassable.
He challenged residents in the constituency not to elect the next governor in 2022 on false promises.
Nyamoko, a close ally to Deputy President William Ruto further argued that he is committed to ensuring allocation of CDF funds to every development project is done transparently.
"I am delivering as by the mandate I was given by the people of the constituency. MP aspirants eyeing the MP seat should engage in development-based politics, sell their development ideas to the people without using propaganda," added Nyamoko.
Nyamoko is serving his first term in office and he is expected to defend his seat in 2022.
