Just like beef and other organic meat, beef kidney meat can give you the essential nutrients required by the body for growth and protection.
Sandi Busch, a nurse and nutritionist highlights the reasons why you should start incorporating the meat to your daily diets;
1. Vitamin A
For a healthy life, you will need to eat kidney meat more often. Vitamin A found in this special delicacy has an essential role of creating cells in the eyes that convert light into the nerve impulses that enhance vision.
In other words, it helps in improving eyesight. The Vitamin is also needed for a stronger immune system.
2. Iron
Iron has varied roles in the body. It helps in the production of hemoglobin, a red blood cell pigment that transports oxygenated blood from the heart to the rest of the body. Iron is also significant when it comes to producing connective tissues, promoting biochemical processes and functions as an antioxidant. Kidney meat offers at least 5 grams of iron.
3. B Vitamins
This nutrient acts a coenzyme meaning it activates the enzymes that basically help in digestion of foods in the alimentary canal.
For instance, it helps in the activation of riboflavin, thiamine and niacin that breakdown food components into energy. In addition, it activates pepsin needed for metabolization and absorption of protein.
