NCIC Selection Panel Chairperson Priscilla Nyokabi has said that the candidates shortlisted for the position are set to appear before the interviewing panel to explain why they deserve to be given the job.

The panel has also shortlisted 59 for the membership of the commission.

The commission is tasked with promoting sustainable, cohesion and long-lasting peace. The interviewing of the candidates comes after the former National Assembly Speaker Francis ole Kaparo term expired last year.

The candidates are expected to prove their experience and education qualifications before they can assume the said position when that time comes. The commission has affirmed that the exercise will be based on nothing but merit.

The panel has also asked the candidates to present their original testimonials during the date of the interview for consideration.
