Some of the residents expressed their disappointment after the first term governor denied Mutira Ward Representative Kinyua Wangui chance to speak when she arrived to launch a modern market.

The group, which Waiguru claims was hired to disrupt the event, could not keep silent when she started addressing the crowd.

It kept on shouting at the county boss even as she gave her speech.

Armed police officers were forced to cordon off the area where the governor was speaking from to ensure her safety was guaranteed.

Waiguru reprimanded the MCA for always criticising her even when she launches projects at the backyard.

The Former Devolution Cabinet Secretary declared that she is not ready to allow MCAs embarrass her.

"Respect is two-way traffic. I also deserve to be treated fairly as a leader," she demanded as quoted by Daily Nation.

The remarks did not augur well with the supporters of the MCA who stood up and started shouting at Waiguru as she made her remarks.

Police officers attempted to silence the crowd but their efforts didn’t bear fruits.

When he was given chance to speak, Wangui denied frustrating Waiguru during her tenure in office and said he fully supports her projects amid the bad blood between them.

"My political enemies are antagonising the governor and I. I support the development projects of the devolved government so my foes should stop misleading the governor," said the area MCA.
