Through her official Facebook Page on Friday, Kihika said that day they were in line with all the elected leaders present; the MPs, MCAs, Speaker, County Commissioner and a few others waiting to receive the president.

“There was some commotion as the President’s security felt there were too many people. I was in the middle of the line, next to Woman Rep Liza Chelule and Assembly Deputy Speaker Tonui. One of the male security officers came directly to where I was standing and pushed me to get me out of the line,” she explained.

She said that she was shocked and quickly grabbed him and a tussle ensued as she told him off which led to a fracas as all elected leaders jumped into the fray to push away the security guy.

Kihika further said the security guy apologized and that is when the President’s protocol lady, Rachel, came to diffuse the situation.

“What is being purported to be a slap is Rachel (who by the way is a friend of mine) touching my face and shoulder to calm me down and to diffuse the situation. She was asking me to let it go as the security officer had profusely apologized. By then hell was about to break loose,” Nakuru senator added.

She said if someone had slapped her or dared to; not even the army, GSU or Recce would have been able to contain her.

“To those that would wish it were true that I was slapped pole sana, it did not happen and if it had we would have a totally different narrative,” she said noted.
