Bomet governor Joyce Laboso is back in the country after weeks of treatment abroad.
The county boss who has been receiving treatment in the United Kingdom (UK) since May 29, before her transfer to India, made her return home on Sunday.
Her return, however, comes after an entire week of speculations regarding her actual return date, which has seen locals camp outside the county headquarters awaiting her.
Her deputy Hillary Barchok has been steering the county in her absence as per the Constitution.
However, reports indicate that she will proceed with her medication in one of the local facilities.
It is not clear what she is suffering from, as her ailment is yet to be disclosed to the public.
Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga and Kenyan Ambassador to the United Kingdom Manoah Esipisu are among notable personalities who visited her in the UK last month.
The county boss took over after beating her predecessor Isaac Rutto of the Chama Cha Mashinani in the 2017 polls.
