A former Bomariba MCA contestant on Wednesday joined locals to repair an impassable Ikoba-Kenyorora road in Bomariba.
Locals dug terraces to allow free flow of rainwater and filled potholes to ease transportation.
Speaking after the exercise, the politician Dismas Tirisa Onsombi faulted the current MCA Protus Aramba for sleeping on his job.
"The people of Bomariba are suffering yet they have an elected MCA. The road connecting Ikoba and Kenyorora has been impassable during this rainy season and the current MCA is doing nothing," said Onsombi who is the former Bomariba location chief.
He assured that he will continue working closely with the people of Bomariba in readiness to take over in 2022.
"2022 elections will not be business as usual because whether Aramba likes it or not he must go home. He has slept on his job and change in Bomariba leadership is inevitable," said the Jubilee Party politician.
However, reached for comment, the MCA dismissed his competitor saying he is trying to use the backdoor to persuade electorates rally behind him in 2022.
"Ikoba-Kenyorora road is on my list of projects to be done. Let my opponents give me breath so that I can serve the people of Bomariba," noted Aramba.
