Deputy President (DP) William Ruto has been criticised over the delegations he has been hosting at his official Karen residence, with relations to the Kibra MP campaigns.
The DP has been holding political meetings at his official residence, drumming up support for Jubilee party candidate McDonald Mariga.
Speaking on Thursday, Amani National Congress (ANC) candidate Eliud Owalo took issue with the same, accusing the DP of misusing the facility in pursuit of personal interests.
He said the house was built for the DP to stay and hold meetings of national importance, and not a campaign ground.
"If the Deputy President wants to campaign for Mariga let him do it at the Jubilee offices and not in Karen. (Kama Deputy President anataka kufanyia Mariga campaigns aende ofisi ya Jubilee amfanyie campaign huko, sio Karen)," he said on KBC Radio.
He pointed out that the residence houses Ruto as the Deputy President of Kenya, and not the Jubilee Deputy Party Leader, and the second tittle only applies at the Jubilee headquarters.
"He is the Deputy President of Kenya, let him campaign as the Deputy Party Leader of Jubilee (Yeye ni Deputy President wa Kenya, afanye campaigns kama Deputy Party Leader wa Jubilee)," he added.
The two; Mariga and Owalo) will face off with a host of other candidates in the November 7 race, among them Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) candidate Imran Okoth.
