Sports Minister Amina Mohamed on Friday exuded confidence in World Marathon Champion Eliud Kipchoge triumphing in Vienna, Austria on Saturday.
Kipchoge is expected to cover 42km in under two hours in what has been dubbed INEOS 1:59 challenge.
“We are totally convinced that if there is any human who can break the 2-hour barrier, it's going to be our @EliudKipchoge” she said.
The Sports CS described Kipchoge as a "humble and hardworking man who has a winning character in his mind."
After landing in Vienna on Tuesday morning, Kipchoge said that he is ready for the race and hopes for the best.
He observed that this race is special to him and he will give his best to make Kenya proud.
Deputy President William Ruto will be among the leaders who will travel to Vienna to support the athlete.
