The brutal murder of Sharon Otieno, a Medical Records second-year student at Rongo University has seen various leaders condemning it and even calling for the immediate arrest of those involved.

NASA leader Raila Odinga took to his twitter account leaving a message that has elicited mixed reactions among residents. 

"At a campaign briefing this evening for the upcoming Migori Senatorial by-election, I condemned very strongly the brutal murder of the late Sharon Otieno. We observed a minute of silence in her honour.” Raila wrote. 

Various Kenyans including the NRM-K leader Miguna Miguna hit out at Raila Odinga, replying to his post. According to Miguna, Raila should have done more that observing a moment of silence. 

“We also condemn, very strongly, the brutal murder of Sharon Otieno, too. But at your advanced age and position, you must start being consistent. Condemn, very strongly, also, your "brothers" and collaborators who murdered Chris Mando, Baby Pendo, Moraa Nyarangi and Mercy Keino.” Wrote Miguna Miguna. 

Sharon Otieno met her death hour after being kidnapped on Wednesday, September 5th. Her body was found at Kodero forest. 

The Director of Criminal Investigations ordered for a probe into the murder so that her murderers should be brought to justice.
