In an interview on Switch TV, Saraphine Wairimu and Caroline Waithera said their bond as co-wives was established by respect and trust in God, bearing in mind that most co-wives do not see eye to eye.

Caroline, who is the youngest said she met the late musician in 2013, adding that she was desperate for a man who would take care of her.

“We met on my birthday July 2013. He gave me a date, he told me he wanted a second wife and due to disappointments in men, I also needed a man who would be a man and protect me and take care of me,” said Caroline.

She says for a polygamous marriage to thrive, the youngest wife should respect the husband and the first wife.

“When you are the second wife you should be God fearing. Respect him and the first wife. Saraphine never called me to insult me or anything,” she added.

On her part, Saraphine said she had seen all indications of her husband marrying a second wife but decided not to throw tantrums.
