Laikipia Woman Representative Catherine Waruguru now wants of Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati arrested after inciting goons to attack Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa during Kibra by-election.
She says the move is uncalled for and the threat to the unity of Kenyans where they were living as brothers and sisters.
“If the office the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI), Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) and CS interior Fred Matiangi are not supporting election violence Dagoretti North MP should be arrested with immediate effect and charged,” said the Laikipia Woman Representative.
She spoke during the Inua Mama Jenga Taifa Uasin Gishu County edition on Saturday.
Waruguru reiterated that if politicians will be allowed to have goons come 2022 violence will be witnessed unless it's tamed by arresting Simba Arati.
“It’s almost two days when Arati led goons to descend on his colleague MP Didmus Barasa in the full glare of the public and cameras. why is the government security silent about the issues is there something they know don’t know,” MP added.
She, however, called on politicians to maintain peace and should not divide the country into tribal and political affiliations saying it might lead to war.
