Orange Democratic Movement party will not participate in an election presided over by Wafula Chebukati's Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, Timothy Bosire has said.
The IEBC is currently having only three commissioners and it's yet to recruit a substantive Chief Executive Officer as per the requirement.
And the former Kitutu Masaba MP now wants Chebukati to leave unless he's defended by Roselyne Akombe, the former commissioner who quit in October 2017.
"The commission is rotten and those still hanging around should quit. They mismanaged our elections. There time in office is now over," said Bosire on Sunday.
"I saw Akombe revealing something. She should be facilitated back home. It's time for her to narrate what exactly happened."
On her Twitter account on Saturday, Akombe asked the country to form a commission of enquiry, adding that she will be free to come over and testify.
"Thank you for starting this excellent debate. You may be aware that I delivered my end of assignment report to @IEBCKenya. Among other topics, I called for an independent inquiry to the 2017 election. I am ready to testify under oath. Do your part. Get it set up, I will fly back," she said.
Mr Bosire, accused IEBC of rigging him out in 2017 in favour of his opponent Shadrack Mose, adding that votes were manipulated because he was then a government critic.
During the polls, Bosire scored 20,000 votes to Mose's 33,000 votes. He had his case dismissed by High Court in Nyamira in 2018.
