Speaking during Punchline Show on Sunday hosted by Anne Kiguta, Murathe noted that corruption only affects those who do not live a straight life.

He was reacting to Kiguta's question where she asked: "Orengo famously prophesied that revolutions eat their own children. What makes you think one day you won't be on the menu?

"Whose menu? If you stay on the straight and narrow, there is no risk. But if you are corrupt, you have to carry your own cross," Murathe said.

He dismissed claims that the government flouted court orders in regard to the arrest of Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria, adding that he was released late in the evening, when it was impossible to process him out.

"What is criminalising a person who assaulted a woman. Moses Kuria was released on a police bond of Sh20,000. The government never flouted court orders," he said.
