Narok Senator Ole Kina Ledama has faulted the government over failure to implement Senate report on Solai dam tragedy.
In a tweet on Saturday, Ledama said that the President Uhuru Kenyatta-led government is a big let to the victims of the dam tragedy that claimed lives of 50 innocent persons.
The lawmaker said that it is high time the government came forth and explained why the course of justice for the victims has been delayed. He lamented that the victims have no reasons to smile since the incident occurred because the government has neglected them.
“The Jubilee Government let down the people of Solai. “rain slowly slides down the glass as if the night is crying “ One day just one day someone will pay dearly for the lives lost in Simai. @SenMutula @susankihika @SakajaJohnson I cry when I see this report in my study daily,” he tweeted.
Previously, Ledama had called upon the Director of Public Prosecution Noordin Haji to take action against the owners of the dam and ensure the victims are compensated but no so much has come out of the same at the end of the day.
The victims are now decrying neglect from the state despite endless pleas.
