Amani National Congress (ANC) supremo Musalia Mudavadi weighed in on the vexed question of who will be his running mate in 2022.
While avoiding mentioning names of people who will make the cut, he said that it was a matter that required a lot of deliberation before reaching a conclusive decision.
"I will cross the bridge when we reach there. That is something that I have to think about very carefully, very tactfully and at the appropriate time my running mate will be known," Mudavadi said.
If he will run for the presidency, Mudavadi will require a strong candidate who will bring numbers to the basket.
The running mate will also have to come from outside Western Kenya, a region he hails from.
Mudavadi supported Raila Odinga in the 2017 presidential election which was won by President Uhuru amid tremendous disputation.
His remarks were made during a live television interview.
