Comedian Eric Omondi is officially the second most followed celebrity in Kenya after Lupita Nyong'o who has 7.9 million followers.
In a message on his Instagram account on Thursday, Omondi posted a parody video of Naiboi's "2 in 1" song.
In the song, he reveals that he has garnered 2 million followers on Instagram.
Omondi also left a message where he thanked his fans for their support. He also jokingly asked his fans to remember neighbours Tanzania players in their prayers ahead of their African Cup of Nations (Afcon) match against Harambee Stars today, Thursday night in Cairo, Egypt.
He believes Harambee Stars beat them.
"THANK YOU GUYS FOR TWO MILLION 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 I AM WHO I AM BECAUSE OF YOU... GOD BLESS YOU...And please remember TANZANIA in your prayers. Ask God to have Mercy on them because Harambee Stars will not," Omondi captioned the video.
The comedian has had a long way since being at Churchill Show. He moved out and started working on funny clips which he posted on his social media pages and YouTube.
He has gained fame through emceeing in events, endorsement deals and even product adverts. He is internationally recognized and was rated among the top comedians in Africa.
