Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha has officially released the 2019 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination results.
The top student is Huluma Wabuko Tony of Kapasabet Boys with a mean grade A plain (87.159 points).
Students who sat for this year’s exams can access their results through the KNEC portal, or by sending their full index numbers followed by KCSE to 20076.
KNEC CEO Mercy Karago said 699,745 candidates sat this year’s KCSE in 10,289 centers.
While releasing the results, Magoha said he is pleased to release the results on record time.
“We promised to conclude this process before Christmas, and by God's grace, we have done so,” he said.
CS Magoha thanked teachers and other stakeholders for the role they played to ensure results are released on time.
According to KNEC Chairman Dr John Onsati, this is the 31st time the examinations have been conducted in the country.
“The examination was being administered for the 31st time since its inception in 1989, and for the 4th time since the reforms in 2016,” he said.
