Former commissioner at the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Dr Roselyn Akombe has exposed her impostor in an angry tweet.
Dr Akombe lashed out at the impostor, calling himself Hon Mohamednoor Yakub on Twitter, for committing basic grammatical mistakes in a tweet shared by the impostor purporting to carry comments by the former commissioner.
"@RailaOdinga has Never been defeated in any election. Every time he tries to score, they steal the goal post." - Dr. Roselyn," the impostor's offending tweet read.
She went as far as making corrections for the impostor.
"If you are going to impersonate me, which is a crime, then please watch your sentence construction and idiomatic use. We say goal posts are shifted. Not stolen. And when you decide to use the tile (Dr.), use the last name, not the first. Thank you, " her angry tweet read.
The tweet came hot on the heels of another tweet decrying impersonation on Facebook.
In the tweet, she said that she only owned a Twitter handle and Facebook accounts were not hers.
Her attempts to have them taken down, she explained, have not yielded fruits.
"Kind reminder that the Facebook accounts in my name posting comments on Kenyan politics are not mine. I have made several reports to @facebook and they have taken no action for two years! I only use @Twitter on this handle. Thank you!" her earlier tweet read.
A quick search of her name on Facebook yields a number of accounts bearing her name.
